  • Use as a small shrub in wildflower garden. 
  • The is plant is a legume and is useful for nutrient poor soils.
  • Toxic to livestock and humans.
  • 2-5 ft tall by 2-4 ft wide
  • Suitable to grow in: 8A, 8B, 9A
  • Winter dormant, Flowers March-May.
  • Best planted in full sun, part shade
  • Somewhat moist to long dry periods.  
  • Laval host for wild indigo dusky wing and Zarucco dusky wing butterflies. Food for deer and rabbits.
