- Annual to perennial vine with yellow flowers and brown legume fruit.
- Stems 6-10 ft or longer and can make mounds up to 6 ft tall.
- Suitable to grow in: 10A, 10B, 11, 8B, 9A, 9B
- Can bloom year-round with fruit in fall. Readily reseeds.
- Best planted in full sun.
- Used in wildflower gardens and meadows. Tends to be weedy in appearance.
- Moderate moisture to very dry periods.
- Forage for species such as deer. Good cover.
- Attracts bees, butterflies and other pollinators. Larval host for cassius bule, dorantes longtail, gray hairstreak and long-tailed skipper.
